A small gathering of amateur musicians who meet weekly and enjoy playing a wide range of chamber music. There is no proscribed musical standard for admission to the group but players should be proficient at reading music. Commitment is valued over virtuosity. Current accommodation and the nature of chamber music limits the size of group meetings to 8 -10 players, but if interest grows we may by able to run more groups. Players are encouraged to bring music with them that they would like to play.

… I think one event a month sounds feasible. Music, theatre, dining, clubbing, pubbing, cultural-visits: these are all within our scope. I hope to link up with Glasgow and Westie Meetups ... both home and away ... for added interest and colour. Share the love, right? I'm of the North Lanarkshire persuasion myself (almost but not quite a Weegie), living and working in Edinburgh these last 20 years. Jings! Please spread the word! Edinburgh is an amazing city - I know that's why I moved here. Its full of beauty, life and vitality but small enough to explore. I've set this group up to sample some of that with like-minded others in an accessible down-to-earth way. You don't hav …

Whether that is a walk, a bike ride and a picnic or an hour of exhilarating Zumba followed by lunch, it helps to have a group of friends to encourage each other. I have b …
